Mrs. Karneese (Cain) Ruth, 93, of Hornbeak passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016, at her home.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Oak Ridge Church of Christ. Rick Knoll will officiate. Burial will follow in Hornbeak City Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.

Mrs. Ruth was born October 30, 1922, in Lake County, daughter of the late Willie and Cordie (Woods) Cain. She married Donald David "Don" Ruth in 1945. He preceded her in death on January 10, 2013. Mrs. Ruth was a homemaker and a member of Oak Ridge Church of Christ.

She is survived by one son, Kenneth Ruth of Hornbeak; two sisters, Rebecca Jane Cain and Virginia Cain both of Caruthersville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Samuel David Ruth of Dresden, Jess Warren Ruth of Glen Burnie, Maryland, Kirk Childress of Houston, Texas and Sheril Lee Carey of Columbus, Ohio; two step grandchildren, Teal Marie Ford and Stetson Levi Ford both of Hornbeak; seven great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Karneese Childress; one sister, Grace Cain; and four brothers, Edward Cain, Sonny Cain, Charles Cain and Willie Cain, Jr.
