Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Buddy Walls will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Gwaltney was born May 20, 1936, in Cairo, Illinois, daughter of the late Bill and Freda Valeria (Bolen) Ice. She married Billy Jack "Bill" Gwaltney July 23, 1955. He died February 14, 2014. Mrs. Gwaltney had been employed at the former Libby's Dress Shop in Union City for 28 years.

She is survived by two sons, Jack Gwaltney and his fiance' Shelia Fuzzell of Union City and Danny Gwaltney and his wife Patricia Gwaltney of Troy; one brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Bunny Ice of Benton, Missouri; two grandchildren and their spouses, Brandi and Josh Stewart of Martin and Justin and Sarah Gwaltney of Rives; and four great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Billy Ice.
