Mrs. Judy Summers, 80, of Union City passed away 11:55 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2020, at AHC of Union City.

Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Obion County Memorial Gardens. Brother Chip Davis will officiate.

There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at service time.

Emaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Blake Laws, Chris Bolding, Brandon Grooms, Rob Frazier, Christian Snow, Craig Menees and J.T. Jones.

Judy was born December 11, 1939, in Union City, daughter of the late Herman Cleo and Laverne (Woods) Basham. She married Alvie Summers. He passed away October 29, 2002. She was the owner of Judy's Fabrics in Troy for many years. She wrote "Southern Backroads" and numerous books about Reelfoot Lake and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by two sisters, Diane Henson (James) and Barbara Jones (J.T.) all of Union City; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Cleo Basham and Johnny Basham.
