Juanita Davis McKinney, 96, of Lexington Park, Maryland passed away 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at her home. She was a former resident of Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2022, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Melvin Poe will officiate. Entombment will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be family members.

Juanita was born November 19, 1925, in Rives, daughter of the late Wilburn Cyrus and Thelma Maude (Brinkley) Davis. She married Gordon Edgar Presley McKinney December 25, 1943. He preceded her in death April 19, 2019 after 75 years of marriage. Juanita had been employed at the former Salant & Salant and in the bakery at the former Terrell's IGA and E.W. James. Mrs. McKinney owned a bakery in her home for many years where she baked cakes and cookies. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Union City.

She is survived by three children, Wanda Lohr (Luther) of Lexington Park, Maryland, Larry McKinney (Pat) of Martin and Gwen Dulaney (Tom) of Dawsonville, Georgia; one brother, Joe Neil Davis (Kitty) of Union City; seven grandchildren, Tammy Harris (Bill) of Lexington Park, Maryland, Patrick Arnett (Linda) of New Windsor, Maryland, Tracey Scott (Derek) of Nashville, Michael McKinney (Rachel) of Union City, Kyle Smith of Paducah, Kentucky, Karl Smith of Chicago, Illinois and Vanessa Nohelty (Josh) of Washington State; 27 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Kevin Wagster and Scott Wagster.
