Mrs. Brenda Joyce Skaggs, 85, of Union City passed away 9:20 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Diversicare of Martin.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Obion County Memorial Gardens. Pastor Russell Zik will officiate.

There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at service time.

Pallbearers will be family.

Joyce was born June 6, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late Auzie Richmond and Mary Alene (Blaylock) Bryan.  She married Thomas David "Tom" Skaggs August 18, 1963.  He passed away July 6, 2004.  They were the owners of Skaggs Market and was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City.

She is survived by one son, Bryan Skaggs and his wife, Paula; one daughter, Davita Stephenson and her husband Robert; five grandchildren, Joshua Skaggs of Chattanooga, Caleb Skaggs and his wife, Melissa of Murray, Kentucky, Seth Skaggs of Puryear, Brandon Stephenson and his wife, Sara of Union City and Breanna Bell and husband, Jake of Union City; five great grandchildren, Myla Skaggs, AddalynJo Skaggs, Emma Stephenson, Graham Bell and Evie Bell; and one sister, Carol Morgan of Clinton, Kentucky.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Howard Gene Bryan and Richard Edmond Bryan; and one sister, Linda Samuel.
