Obituary

Mrs. Joyce Hopper, 70, of Hornbeak died 8:20 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013, at The Bridge at Ridgely.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Kenny Lee will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Phil Renfrow, Donald Johnson, Chris Eaves, Johnny Eaves, David Neel and Forrest McDonald.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Tegethoff, Scott Clanton, Roger Parsons, Sam Green, Dennis Dozier, Paul Truett, Delbert Eaves and James Simmons.

Mrs. Hopper was born January 31, 1943, in Steele, Missouri, daughter of the late Bud and Maxine (Polly) Johnson. She married Danny Hopper March 27, 1986. He survives. She had been employed at the former Brown Shoe Company for thirty years and was of the Pentecostal faith.

She is also survived by her step mother, Alice Johnson of Minturn, Arkansas; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Donny and Yolanda Holt and Anthony Holt all of Caruthersville, Missouri and Terry Hopper of Oakland; one daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Forrest McDonald of Carrier Mills, Illinois; her sister, Janet Mosley of Minturn, Arkansas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Junior and Glenda Johnson of Minturn, Arkansas and Donnie Gene and Yolunda Johnson of Baltimore, Maryland; her step brother, William Reeder of Clarksville, Arkansas; her step sister and step brother-in-law, Betty and Jim Erter of Urbana, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Kelly Holt, Meronica Holt, Donny Holt, III, Jacob Holt and Tami Darnell all of Caruthersville, Missouri, Dustin Corum of Braggadocio, Missouri, Austin Neel of Carrier Mills, Illinois and Katie Hopper of Oakland; five great grandchildren; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donnie and Pattie Hopper of Hornbeak; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janie and Johnny Eaves of Hornbeak; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Jackie Holt.
