Mrs. Joyce Freeman, 71, of Union City passed away 6:03 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018, at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Judge James Bradberry and Ricky Phillips will officiate. Burial will follow in Fremont Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Devin Sheppard, Chase Sheppard, Alan Sheppard, Ben Kilgore, Mike Thompson, Dan Bailey, Alex Martinez and Christian Martinez.

Honorary pallbearers will be JohnAnne Harris, Kristen Greer, Jackson Cox and Alex Harris.

Joyce was born June 15, 1947, in Union City, daughter of the late Lester C. Yates and the late Catherine (Bowlin) Aquino. She married Gerald Cox June 25, 1965. He passed away February 15, 1976. She married Johnny Freeman September 4, 1976. He survives. Joyce had been the owner and operator of A New Beginning Hair Salon in Union  City and was a member of the Martin Church of Christ.

She is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Jeff Harris of Union City; her son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Lori Cox of Union City; three grandchildren, JohnAnne Harris of Martin and Kristen Greer and Jackson Cox both of Union City; one great grandson, Alex Harris of Martin; and two sisters, Glenda Carter of Union City and Brenda Johnson of Hickman, Kentucky.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Laymon C. Yates.
