Jose Nunez Giron, 78, of Martin passed away 5:05 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2023, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Father David Orsak will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday.

Pallbearers will be family members.

Jose was born August 30, 1945, in Guanajuato, Mexico, son of the late Jose and Maria Ines (Giron) Nunez. He married Natalia (Sarrano) Nunez February 18, 1969. Jose had been employed as a construction worker and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Natalia Nunez of Martin; one daughter, Rosalva Nunez and husband Miguel Hernandez of Union City; three sons, Jose Guadalupe Nunez and wife Sandra Martinez of Veracruz, Mexico, Jose Luis Nunez and wife Maria Camacho of Martin and Jaime Nunez of Okeechobee, Florida; one sister, Altagarcia Nunez of Mexico City, Mexico; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Alberta Nunez; and one brother, Ismael Nunez.
