Johnny Wetzel, 65, of Union City passed away 7:58 p.m. Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Mississippi.

Memorial services will be conducted 5:00 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2021, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Bobby Barnett will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until the hour of services Monday, November 22, 2021.

Johnny was born April 1, 1956, in Valparaiso, Indiana, son of the late George Phillip and Ada Ruth (Bullard) Maresko. He married Barbara (Stephenson) Wetzel October 22, 1977. She survives. Johnny had been employed at Griffin Industries and was a member of Jackson Chapel Baptist Church in Fulgham, Kentucky.

He is also survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lavonia and Zachary Castleman of Paducah, Kentucky; one son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Jennifer Wetzel of Union City; one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Anita Wetzel of Dyersburg; and ten grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Boulton; and one sister, Gwen Grimes.
