Mr. John Fredrick "Johnny" Key, 77, of Union City passed away 10:35 a.m. Sunday, January 24, 2021, at his home.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Liberty Cemetery on the Middle Road. Brother Dale True will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Wilson, William Wilson, David Key, Rance Barnes, Ja Key and Eric Gregory.

Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Key, Marshall Key, Bob Hunt, Jason Riley, Carl Wayne Hammond, Jeff Donnell, Mike Hardy and Hank Riley.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Johnny was born March 11, 1943, in Union City, son of the late John Franklin and Alma (Rives) Key. He married Shelvie (Johnson) Key in 1965. She survives. Johnny had been employed as a self employed farmer. He received the Young Farmer of The Year award by the Obion County Farm Bureau in 1969, was named Oustanding Young Farmer by the Union City Jaycees 1972-1973, was recognized by the Obion County Junior Livestock Association in 1991 for his devoted time and effort to the junior livestock association and served on the Obion County Farmers Co Op board of directors from 1993 to 1998. Johnny was a member of First United Methodist Church in Union City.

He is also survived by one daughter, Anne Selby (Benjamin) of Oakland, Mississippi; two sons, Bryan Key of Union City and Heath Key of Fayetteville, Arkansas; three grandsons, Jonathan Wilson (Gabriel) of Brighton, William Wilson of Atoka and David Johnson Key of Union City; and three step granddaughters, Lydia Mudd of Union City and Makensie Selby and Maggie Selby both of Milan.
