Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Fremont Cemetery near Union City. Brother Jerry Rollins and Brother Larry Hitesman will officiate.

Mr. McBride was born March 1, 1926, in Missouri, son of the late John and Cordie Lee (James) McBride. He retired as a tow boat deck hand after 30 years of service, served in the United States Army during World War II and was a Baptist.

He is survived by his son, John D. McBride, Jr. of Union City; two grandsons, Matthew McBride and Patrick McBride both of Memphis; his granddaughter, Selena McBride of Rives; and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Pauline Lovett.

The family will receive friends in the Rosewood Room at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until 1:40 p.m. Wednesday.

Pallbearers to serve will be Billy Butler, Matthew McBride and Patrick McBride.
