Dick
November 4, 1947 – April 13, 2011
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funerla Home. Father Robert Ponticello will officiate.
Mr. Dick was born November 4, 1947, in Ridgely, Tn., son of the late John Richard Dick, Sr. and Gloria (Griffin) Dick. He retired from Kohler Industries in Union City after 30 years of service. He was also co-owner of J.R's Auto Sales in Union City. Mr. Dick was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where he was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. He was a life member of the VFW, Disabled Veterans, American Legion and Vietnam Helicopter Crew members. He served in the Army from November 1964 until March 24, 1969. He did two tours in the Vietnam War with the first being with the engineering company and the second as a gunner on a helicopter.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl (Elks) Dick, whom he married on June 14, 1969; one son, John R. Dick, III of Union City; one daughter, Karen Anne Dick of Memphis; one brother and sister-n-law, William G. (Shirla) Dick of Conroe, Tx.; several nieces, nephews and cousins
He was preceded in death by one sister, Jo Ann Woodruff.
The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
