John T. Adcock, 87, of Union City passed away 9:17 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2024, at AHC Union City.

Memorial graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Manuel Cemetery near the Walnut Log community.

There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

John was February 28, 1937, in Obion County, son of the late Clarence Edward and Nell Elizabeth (Cleek) Adcock. He married Paulince (Rudicil) Adcock January 6, 1984. She preceded him in death September 15, 2010. John had been employed by Wright Mats Inc. for several years. He enjoyed coin collecting, playing cards, hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by two sons, Johnny Adcock and wife Claudia and Shane Adcock and wife Charlotte all of Tiptonville; his step daughter, Jackie Jordan and husband Jay of Ridgely; his brother, Ed Adcock and wife Betty of Union City; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Lynn Adcock; and two brothers, L.C. Adcock and Carlon D. Brown.
