Mr. Joe Stephenson, 49, of Union City died 11:24 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2013, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Mike Davis will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday.

Mr. Stephenson was born October 7, 1963, in Clinton, Ky., son of the late Ernest Raymond and Betty (Newcomb) Stephenson. He married Renetta (Armstrong) Stephenson on November 12, 2004. She survives. He was a supervisor at Griffin Industries for 16 years.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Stephenson is survived by five sons, Brandon Stephenson of Rives, Chris Stephenson of Union City, D.J. Daniels of Martin, Hunter Daniels of Union City and John Daniels of Union City; one daughter, Ashley Daniels of Union City; two grandchildren, Dallas Daniels of Martin and Alexis Daniels of Union City; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Davita Stephenson of Union City; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Tony Belarmino of Turlock, California, Edith Katherine Rothman of Hickman, Linda Vibbert of Union City, Barbara and Johnny Wetzel of Dyersburg, Joan Stephenson of Dyersburg and Lori Stephenson of Clinton, Ky.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Stephenson, Claude Porter Stephenson and John Thomas Stephenson.
