Obituary

Mr. Joseph William "Joe" Fry, 63, of Union City died 7:05 a.m. Sunday, May 9, 2010, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Rev. James Marcus and Archie Corder will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Mr. Fry was born August 7, 1946, in Memphis, son of the late Robert DeWitt and Thelma Frances (Flippo) Fry. He married the former Shirley Miller on December 24, 2003. She survives. Mr. Fry was a retired maintenance employee with the Union City School System and served in the United States Army.

He is also survived by two daughters and his son-in-law, Carroll and Jonathan Elam of Union City and Katie Fry of Conway, Ark.; two step-daughters and sons-in-law, Lana and Jason Marcus of Bradford and Amy and Ted Stephens of Cleburne, Tx.; his sister and brother-in-law, Carroll and Archie Corder of Metairie, La.; and five grandchildren, Nathan Marcus, Talen Marcus and Lacey Marcus all of Bradford, and Emily Stephens and Teddy Stephens both of Cleburne, Tx.

He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Lawrence Fry.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Jason Marcus, Ted Stephens, Teddy Stephens, Jonathan Elam, Archie Corder and Gwin Wood.
