JoAnne Moore, 76, of Rives went home to be with the Lord 6:40 a.m. Sunday, November 13, 2022, at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at Union City First Assembly of God. Pastor Tommy Hall will officiate. Burial will follow at Moore Farms.
Visitation will be held at Union City First Assembly of God from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to The Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
JoAnne was born July 3, 1946, in Lake County, daughter of the late James C. "Jack" and Ozella (Prater) Moore. She married Tully Moore June 20, 1964. He survives. JoAnne was a 1964 graduate of Obion County Central High School. She was a graduate of the first nursing class at the University of Tennessee in Martin in 1972 where she receive a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She was employed as a registered nurse at Baptist Memorial Hospital and retired as hospice coordinator at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City. JoAnne was a member of Union City First Assembly of God where she worked in the nursery for many years.
She is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Michael France of Rives; her son and daughter-in-law, James H. and Sherri Moore of Rives; her sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Billy Lewis of Memphis; her brother and sister-in-law, James C. "Bubba" and Sarah Moore of Union City; seven grandchildren, Jonathan France and his wife Corey Anne of Rives, Rebekah Simmons and her husband Lee of Mason Hall, Lilly Moore of Union City, James Tully Moore and his wife Abby of Rives, William Thomas Moore of Troy and Will Sisco and Wes Sisco both of Rives; six great grandchildren, Charlie Simmons, Cory Simmons, Caysen Simmons and Helen Bess Simmons all of Mason Hall and Jed France and Lucy France both of Rives; and her special cousin, Catherine Mayhall of Union City.
