Obituary

JoAnn N. Carr, 77, of Union City passed away 10:57 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2022, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Greg Wells will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Culver, Brennan Barnett, Zach King, Neal Carr, Andrew Seymour and Bob Beckel.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Monday.

JoAnn was born August 21, 1944, in Obion County, daughter of the late Samuel David and Lois Mae (Simmons) Goodman. She married Steve P. Carr February 26, 1971. He preceded her in death December 26, 2021. JoAnn had been employed as a machine operator at the former Salant & Salant in Union City and was a member of Midway Baptist Church.

She is also survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Roma and Bruce Culver and Crystal Carr all of Union City; two granddaughters and the spouse of one, Lauren and Brennan Barnett and Lexi Culver all of Union City; one great grandson, Braedon Barnett of Union City; two sisters, Bonnie Seymour (Don) of Jacksonville, Alabama and Betty Beckel of Homer, Louisiana; one brother, Robert Goodman (Marie) of Union City; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Willard Goodman, Willie B. Goodman and Frank Goodman.
