Mrs. Marjorie Joan Alexander, 83, of Union City passed away 9:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2020, at AHC Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Melvin Poe will officiate. Burial will follow in Old Republican Cemetery near Union City.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service Monday.

Pallbearers will be Adam Alexander, Steven Patton, C.F. Blankenship, Dale Vinson, Wesley McClure and Dale Pate.

Joan was born February 3, 1937, in Olney, Illinois, daughter of the late Elbert and Alice (Oathout) Stiff. She married Thurmond Lee "Ray" Alexander in 1966. He passed away April 19, 2001. Mrs. Ray and her husband ran a restaurant in Lake County for over twenty years and she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Union City.

She is survived by one son, Travis Alexander (Cheryl Jones) of Hornbeak; two daughters, Terri Baker (James) of Fayetteville, Ga. and Tammy Patton of Arlington, Tn.; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Pat Hayes.
