James Leonard "Jimmy" Miller, 78, of Troy passed away 1:20 p.m. Saturday at Signature Healthcare in Ridgely.
Graveside services will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Thursday at Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy. Dr. Melvin Poe will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Todd Miller, Jim Miller, Ian Miller, Jacob Cochran, Mark Hayes and Pete Hand.
Honorary pallbearer will be Zach Cochran.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Jimmy was born September 5, 1943, in Rives, son of the late J.W. and Thelma (Roy) Miller. He married Shirley (Jenkins) Miller July 28, 2001. She survives. Jimmy had been employed as a steel worker with Midwest Steel and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Union City.
He is also survived by one daughter, Kristie Hayes (Mark) of Murfreesboro; two sons, Todd Miller (Deann) of Martin and Jim Miller (Betty) of Woodland Mills; two stepdaughters, Teresa Townsend (Bill) of Church Hill and Lavanche Hand (Pete) of Friendship; one stepson, Claude Cochran (Diane) of Halls; one sister, Judy Darnall (Butch) of Hornbeak; one brother, Gaylon Miller (Connie) of Bowling Green, Kentucky; 20 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one stepson, Harold Cochran; one sister, Trella Hamm; and two brothers, Kenneth Miller and Ronald Miller.
