Mr. Jimmy Wayne Johnson, 66, of Kenton passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at his home.

Memorial services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home.  Pastor Shane Long will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Jimmy was born December 4, 1955, in Union City, son of Valrie (Owens) Johnson of Union City and the late Jimmy Lee Johnson.  He married Gennese (Butler) Johnson.  She survives.  He had been employed at the former Gurien Finishing Company and as a self employed painter. Jimmy was a member of Healing Faith Family Worship Center in Union City and had served in the United States Army.

He is also survived by one sister, Gail Johnson of Union City; one brother, Dale Johnson of Kenton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Lee Johnson; and a infant daughter.
