Jimmy Dale Butler, 72, of Union City passed away 4:55 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Obion County Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Archie Larry will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robert Stacks, David Pickard, Jimmy Craig, Jeff Simon, Stevie Moore and Bobby Joe Moore.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Sunday.

Jimmy was born January 6, 1949, in Obion County, son of the late Russell and Bessie (Donnell) Butler. He married Gail (Pickard) Butler March 9, 1968. She preceded him in death October 26, 2017. Jimmy had been employed at Waterfield Grain Company and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by three sons, Jimmy Lynn Butler (Stephanie) and Johnny Butler (Misty) all of Martin and Sammy Butler (Kim) of Union City; one sister, Wanda Moore of Union City; one brother, James "Boots" Butler (Wilma) of the Polk Station community; thirteen grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
