Mr. James Walter "Jim" Darnall, 88, of Eads went to be with his Lord and Savior 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in Germantown. A cherished patriarch, he was surrounded by his family as he was ushered into heaven, and will be greatly missed by all.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2025, at Cobbs Chapel Cemetery. Pastor James Farmer will officiate.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at service time.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be his family.
Jim was born June 2, 1937, in Hickman, Kentucky, son of the late James Walter and Ellen (Williams) Darnall. He married Myrt (Parish) Darnall March 24, 1956. She survives. He spent many years in the automotive industry before becoming a home builder. One of his greatest enjoyments in life was horseback riding, however his greatest enjoyment was sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and his faith.
He loved his family deeply and is survived by his wife of 69 years, Myrt (Parish) Darnall of Eads; two sons, James Darryl Darnall (Kathy) of Collierville and Steve Darnall of Eads; one daughter, Sally Michelle Lucas (Tim) of Arlington; four beloved grandchildren, Jennifer Stewart (Scott), Kendall Ichniowski (Larry), Garrett Lucas (Shelby) and Taylor Lucas (Anna); nine great grandchildren; one brother, Clifton Darnall (Debra) of Fulton, Kentucky; four sisters, Mary Mazepa of Hobart, Indiana, Martha Lane of Paris, Joanie Jackson of Hickman, Kentucky and Suzie Henson of Union City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by one great grandson, Rylan Lucas; one brother, John Darnall; and four sisters, Sarah Price, Christen Goodman, Annie Cook and Linda Walters.
