Mrs. Jewell Mae Stewart, 74, of Union City died 11:15 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2009, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery. Brother Eddie Mallonee will officiate.

Mrs. Stewart was born April 7, 1934, in Lake County, Tennessee, daughter of the late William Henry and Willie Mae Dean. She married Tony Stewart June 17, 1979. He survives. She had been employed at the former Salant & Salant, had been a waitress at the former Davy Crockett Restaurant and attended Evangel Temple Assembly of God.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Shelby (Jerry) Bailey of Troy, Tremenda (Ray) Dillon of Hutchinson, Kansas, Brenda (Mark) Adams of Sedalia, Kentucky, Patricia (Bill) Mathis of Montalba, Texas and Betty (Ricky Breeden) Rudd of Martin; one son, Tim Rudd of Union City; twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, James Dean and one sister, Mabel Copeland.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services on Monday.

Pallbearers to serve will be Shaun Bailey, Kyle Bailey, Cameron Bailey, Adrian Lattus, Jeremy Northam, Brian Stacks, Patrick Pendergast and Montana Powell.
