Jesse Earl Wallace, 86, of Union City passed away 8:21 a.m. Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Melvin Poe will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Bobo, Kyle Byassee, Stone Jones, Skyler Jones, Eugene Hudgins and Kenneth Brooks.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the EZ Rodder's Car Club.
Jesse was born August 6, 1937, in Dresden son of the late J.C. and Melinda Emmaline (McDaniel) Wallace. He married Eva (Wilson) Wallace November 6, 1982. Jesse retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 24 years of service. A classic car enthusiast, Jesse was a member of the EZ Rodder's Car Club and Calvary Baptist Church in Union City.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Wallace of Union City; two daughters, Anita Bobo and Shauna Jones and husband Steve all of Obion; one son, Eddie Wallace and wife Suzanne of Union City; one step daughter, Shari Byassee and husband Kenny of Union City; two sisters, Barbara Gallimore and Thelma Doris Fussell both of Union City; ten grandchildren, Hunter Wallace and wife Erica and Ashley Collins and husband Gary all of Mililani, Hawaii, Ryan Bobo of Troy, Stone Jones of Austin, Texas, Skyler Jones and Kylie Bobo both of Obion, Kyle Byassee of Union City, Kendal Byassee of Dickson and Rocky Byassee and Rodney Byassee both of Arlington; and three great grandchildren, Aribella Collins and Leonardo Collins both of Mililani, Hawaii and Bo'Anthony Bobo of Troy.
He was also preceded in death by one step daughter, Anita McClanahan; and one sister, Adelle Faught.
