Pete Tidwell 1950-2010
Mr. Jesse "Pete" Tidwell, 60, of Troy died 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at his home. He was a retired truck driver for Heartland Express and had been a diesel mechanic. He was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Troy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lena (Wolverton) Tidwell; five sisters, Mary Outlaw, Louise Bondurant, Pearlie Clark, Marie Tidwell and Carrie Ann Baggett; and four brothers, John Tidwell, James Tidwell, Loring Tidwell and Charlie Rea.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Carolyn (Council) Tidwell of Troy; son, Leslie Tidwell of Troy; four daughters, Jaime Tidwell of the Harris Station community, Tracy McDaniel of Union City, Angie Kendall and husband, Kelvin of Hornbeak and Regina VanCleave and husband, Cory of Martin; nine grandchildren, Corey McDaniel and Jadon Emery of Union City, Tyler Delbo and Courtney Wherry of the Harris Station community, Jesse Nicole Tidwell, Lyndsey VanCleave and Mason VanCleave of Martin and Shelby Kendall and Parker Kendall of Hornbeak; eight sisters, Peggy Ferguson of Dukedom, Patricia Wilson of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mavis Titus and Geneva Swaggert of Lexington, South Carolina, Mozelle Liliker of Cayce, Kentucky, Jeanie Parrish of Troy, Emma Jo Hardin of South Fulton and Doris Henderson of Ridgely; and two brothers, Bobby Rea of Trenton and Roy Tidwell of Friendship.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home with Brother Terry Council officiating. Interment will follow in the Brownsville (Kentucky) Cemetery with Billy Liliker, Ralph Norman, B.J. Phillips, Mike Autry, Tim Crow, Steve Cruce and Harold Jenkins serving as pallbearers.
His family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
