Jerry Lynn Sanders, 62, of Union City passed away 7:25 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2023, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Austin Norton will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery in Obion.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Tim Melton, Robert Hamm, Tim Hamm and Bryant Hamm.

Jerry was born September 16, 1960, in Dyersburg, son of Mary Belle (Hamm) Coleman of Union City and the late Nelson Coleman. He had been employed at the former World Color Press in Dyersburg and collected mussels on the Tennessee River for several years. Jerry served in the United States Air Force.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Lynn Morton and wife Ashley of Danville, Virginia; one sister and brother-in-law, Patty Coleman Melton and husband Tim of Clinton, Kentucky; one brother, Steve Coleman of Tiptonville; and two grandsons, Christopher Morton and Cameron Morton both of Danville, Virginia.
