Rev. Jerry Lee Northam, 71, of Horn Lake, Mississippi, went home to be the Lord Monday, September 28, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital DeSoto in Southaven, Mississippi. He was a former resident of Obion County.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Rev. Don Goodrum and Rev. Jeremy Mew will officiate.  Private graveside services will be held at Triangle Cemetery in Troy.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until the hour of services Thursday.

Pallbearers will be his nephews, Chucky Moran, Chad Northam, Stevie Moran, Scott Northam, Nathan Stewart and Corey Northam.

Rev. Northam was born May 17, 1944, in Dyer County, son of the late Fred Lee Northam and the late Maggie Ellen (Edmaiston) Northam Moore. He married Ruthie (Canova) Northam March 1, 1963. She survives. Rev. Northam received his master of divinity from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary in Cleveland, Tennessee. He had served as pastor of Charleston Church of God in Charleston, Tennessee, Milan Church of God in Milan, Tennessee, Chanute Church of God in Chanute, Kansas, Victory Temple Church of God in Wichita, Kansas, New Life Church of God in Kingsport, Tennessee, and had retired from the ministry in March 2015 at Oak Forest Church of God in Southaven, Mississippi. Rev. Northam had served as State Youth Education Director in Kansas and had served as Ministerial Training Coordinator for new ministries in Kansas and Tennessee.

He is also survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Gary Pilcher of South Fulton, Stacy and Marty Werner and Becky and Marc Howell all of Chanute, Kansas; five sisters, Carolyn Moran and Vickie Stewart both of Union City, Linda Fulcher of Troy, Brenda Green of Chattanooga and Sherry Ford of Newbern; four brothers, Kenneth Northam, Larry Northam and Terry Northam all of Troy, and C.E. "Chuck" Northam of Crossville; six grandchildren and spouse of three, Blake and Carrie Pilcher, Hayley Pilcher, Judd and Tereselyn Evenson, Nolan Werner, Tanya and Jerrad Myers and Cody Howell; and one great grandson, Rhett Evenson.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Northam.
