Jerry Newsom's Obituary
Jerry Mack Newsom, 62, of Hickman, Kentucky passed away 6:50 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother John Morgan and Brother Henry Callison officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Eric Peddy, Ricky Newsom, Kevin Newsom, Brett Johnson, David Wilmath and Jeff Gibson.
Honorary pallbearer will be Michael Craddock.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Monday.
Jerry was born March 22, 1954, in Tiptonville, son of the late Rudolph "Red" and Callie Ellen (Waynick) Newsom. He was a retired car salesman and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by one daughter, Kristy (Eric) Peddy of Mt. Clemens, Michigan; one son, Jeremy (Johnna) Newsom of Hickman, Kentucky; two sisters, Betty "Emma Lee" Hamil and Mattie Gibson both of Hickman, Kentucky; three brothers, Frank Newsom of Union City, Johnny Newsom of Memphis and Gilbert Newsom of Hornbeak; nine grandchildren; and one great grandson.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, James Newsom.
