Obituary

Mr. Jerry G. Hutchison, 72, of the Possum Trot community passed away 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 5, 2016, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cobbs Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Josh Hutchison, James D. Hutchison, Stacy Hutchison, Scott Johnson, Lawrence French and Matt O'Rear.

Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Hepler, Don Townley, Everett D. Hutchison and Wayne Quinn, Jr.

Jerry was born June 25, 1944, in Obion County, son of the late Charlie B. and Helen (Hickman) Hutchison. He married Mary Jo (Holly) Hutchison October 17, 1980. She survives. Jerry had been employed at the former Brown Shoe Company for 30 years and retired as a correctional officer for Northwest Tennessee Correctional Facility in 2015 after 22 years of service. He was a member of Samburg Assembly of God.

He is also survived by one son, Terry (Jane Ann) Hutchison of Union City; one daughter, Renee Hutchison of Pickens, South Carolina; one stepson, Gary (Kelly) Watson of Pataskala, Ohio; three brothers, Donnie (Debbie) Hutchison, Ronnie (Kathy) Hutchison and Kenneth Hutchison all of Troy; nine grandchildren, Ashley Cook of Dickson whom he raised, Daniel Taylor of Union City, Sara Council of Clarksville, Jessica Lowe and Candace Owen both of Pickens, South Carolina, Chris Morton of Seattle, Washington, Joseph Morton of Mountainview, California, Alex Watson of West Palm Beach, Florida and Natalie Watson Pataskala, Ohio ten great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Royce (Irene) Holly of Crutchfield, Kentucky; and two sisters-in-law, Donna (J.D.) Thompson of Paris Landing and Connie (Jimmy) Cox of Fulton, Kentucky.

He was also preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Debbie Lovell; and one brother, Barry Hutchison.
