Jerry Lee Hood, 47, of the Clayton community passed away 5:30 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021, at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Mike Davis will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.

Jerry was born November 13, 1973, in Union City, son of the late Doris (Roberson) Rikard. He married Melissa Gayle (Brimm) Hood  July 4, 1993. She preceded him in death April 30, 2006. Jerry had been employed for Kendall Lumber Company and Griffin Industries.

He is survived by two daughters, Shelly Hood and Erin Hood; one son, Jace Hood; two sisters, Sandra Hogg and Wanda Bell; and two brothers, Larry Rickard and Wilford Rikard.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Davis and Vickie Roberson; and one brother, Tommy Rikard.
