Obituary

Jerry Ray Erwin, 49, of Union City passed away 4:30 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2020, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Greater Vision Church in Troy. Brother David Hagan and Pastor Robin Rotgers will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.

Visitation will be held at Greater Vision Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Michael Anderson, Richard Stegall, Rick Stacks, Guy Revell, Mike Fussell and Chris Wilcutt.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Jerry was born June 19, 1971, in Union City, son of Billy Ray Erwin of Hornbeak and the late Martha (Knight) Erwin. He married Trena (Simmons) Erwin September 6, 2014. She survives. Jerry had been employed at Revell Construction Company in Union City for 23 years and was a member of Greater Vision Church.

He is also survived by two daughters, Alyssa Erwin and Madison Erwin both of Union City; one step son, Rob Stephenson of Saraland, Alabama; one step daughter and her husband, Alicia and Don Petty of Hornbeak; one sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and J.C. Ivy of Kenton; nine grandchildren, Ryker Spivey, Avalon Erwin and McKenzie Muse all of Union City, Kota Petty, Kolby Petty and Garrett Petty all of Hornbeak and Brooklyn Stephenson, Brandice Stephenson and Caleb Stephenson all of Saraland, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
