Jerry Dale Dyer, 74, of Union City passed away 4:01 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2020, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Pat Murdock will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Terry Roberts, Mike Hall, Russell Hilton, Freddie Preuett, Mike McKenzie, Kenny Crews and Robin Garland.

Honorary pallbearers will be John E. Fowler, Pete Whitten and Claude Morgan.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Thursday.

Jerry was born June 16, 1946, in Union City, son of the late Hoyd G. and Lillian (Caldwell) Dyer. He married Donna (Dailey) Dyer June 7, 1965. She survives. Jerry was the owner and operator of Dyer's Upholstery. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Jones Walker Post 4862 in Union City where he cooked for the Monday night suppers for many years. Jerry was a member of Mt. Ararat Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He is also survived by one son, Johnny Dyer (Tracy) of Union City; two daughters, Kelly Dyer of Buffalo, Missouri and Jody Fetcher (Scott) of Rowlett, Texas; one sister, Sue Martin of Troy; one brother, John Dyer (Jenny) of Corinth, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Joshua Dyer (Loretta) of Paris, Aaron Dyer (fiance Sarah Perry) of Martin, Brittany Barnes of Burlison and Jessica Barnes (Bo Korn) of Troy; and four great grandchildren, Elena Adamovicz of Des Moines, Iowa and Peytan Korn, Brian Korn and Mason Korn all of Troy.
