Jere K. Murray, 84, of the Minnick community passed away 1:11 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2024, at Diversicare of Martin.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Jere was born March 22, 1940, in Obion County, son of the late Otha B. and Florence (McLean) Murray. He married Barbara (Tanser) Murray January 29, 1965. Jere served in the United States Army in Germany and was a retired truck driver and mechanic. He was a member of Minnick Bible Church.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Murray of the Minnick community; three daughters, Jody Yarbrough of Atoka, Joy Brewer of Union City and Joni Williams and husband Dave of Kenton; 13 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by 1 brother; and 3 sisters.
