Jeffery Neal "Jeff" Decker, 62, of Woodland Mills passed away 11:02 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2020, at Tri Star Summit Medical Center in Hermitage.

Funeral services will be conducted 5:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Rick Burton will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday.

Jeff was born December 15, 1957, in Fort Benning, Georgia, son of Norma Jean (Bradshaw) Decker of Knoxville and the late John R. Decker. He married Darlene (Morris) Decker June 16, 1979. She survives. Jeff retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 25 years of service. He was member of First Baptist Church in Woodland Mills and served as cub master of Cub Scout Pack 357 at Lake Road School for many years. Jeff was instrumental in developing the baseball league in Woodland Mills where he had served as a coach for 25 years and president. The baseball field is named in his honor. Jeff's family described him as being the rock and backbone of their family as he always made them his number one priority.

He is also survived by three sons, Ryan Decker and Eric Decker both of Woodland Mills and Alex Decker of Huntsville, Alabama; two granddaughters, Avery Decker and Bailey Decker both of Woodland Mills; one sister, Sara Eason of Knoxville; and one brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Kim Decker of Newbern.
