Jean worked for Parisians and Bromberg for 30 years and had many loyal customers. She was an active member of Woodlawn Church of Christ where she taught bible classes to first and second graders for many years. That church relocated to Roebuck Parkway where she continued to be an active member until the church relocated to Deerfoot Parkway in Trussville, Alabama. Jean continued to be an active member until her health began to fail.
She is survived by one sister, Judy Ford Shaw; two brothers-in-law, Larry Isbell and John Dickerson; one sister-in-law, Jeanette Ford; three children, Donna Dickerson, Brenda Dickerson Chandler (former son-in-law, Milton), and Dan Thomas Dickerson (Patrice); five grandchildren, Elizabeth Cobb (Ryan), Ryan Montgomery (Rebeka), Mason Thomas Chandler (Woodeline), Alexandra Dickerson Zinkie (Drew), and Weston Thomas Dickerson; and three great grandchildren, Laurie Cobb, Reagan Cobb and Julia Montgomery; and several nieces and nephews.
