J.D. Primrose, 76, of Kenton passed away 1:15 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2 021, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 6:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Steve Gatlin will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Michael Simpson, Royce Spencer, James Gatlin, George Tvrdik and Rodney Winginton.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Hometown Walk of Hope , P.O. Box 482, Union City, Tennessee 38281.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.

Family requests masks be worn at the funeral home and practice social distancing.

J.D. was born June 22, 1944, in Kenton, son of the late Murrell and Lou Emma (Ring) Primrose. He married Linda (Heathcock) Primrose February 5, 1968. She survives. J.D. retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 20 years of service and was a member of the United Steel Workers Local 878.

He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Mark Baucom of Kenton; his granddaughter, Kaitlyn Baucom of Martin; two sisters, Peggy Hutchison of Grand Prairie, Texas and Karon Smith of Union City; three nieces and two nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Shelby Kennomer; and two brothers, Jerry Primrose and Bobby Primrose.
