J.C. "Pee Wee" Thomas, 96, of Union City passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 17, 2023, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Lloyd Wayne Moore and Jimmy Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery near Obion.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Friday.

Pallbearers will be Justin Thomas, Kaeden Radde, Tanner Thomas, Zach Thomas, Jason Krueger, Landon Pollock, Wayne Lanier and Eric Garrigan.

Honorary pallbearers will be his cousins and Robert Moore, Danny McDonald and Jerry Ward.

Pee Wee was born September 30, 1927, in the Phillipy community in Lake County, son of the late Richard and Avis (Simmons) Thomas. He graduated from the former Hornbeak High School and attended the University of Tennessee at Martin. He married Marilyn (Treece) Thomas July 15, 1950. Pee Wee was co owner of the former T & S Ford in Obion, Crown Manufacturing at Reelfoot Lake and Reelfoot Motors before retiring and moving to Union City.

He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Marilyn Thomas of Union City; his son and daughter-in-law, Russ and Frankie Thomas of Union City; two grandchildren, Justin Thomas of Union City and Shelley Thomas Krueger (Jason) of Evansville, Indiana; ten great grandchildren, Kaeden Radde (Maylyn Miller), Raegen Radde (Tim Pigue) and Kendall Radde all of Evansville, Indiana, Danielle Thomas, Tanner Thomas, Haley Thomas and Zach Thomas and Bailey Decker all of Union City, Ashlyn Thomas Pollock (Landon) of Nashville and Avery Decker of Jackson; and two great great grandchildren, Timmy and Willow of Evansville, Indiana.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jan Thomas Parker; and one grandson, Richie Thomas.
