Mr. J.C. Chamberlain, 77, of Martin died 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.
Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Friday at Mt. Ararat Cemetery near Troy. Brother Jerry Leggett will officiate.
The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Friday.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Wynia, Steve Wray, Bill Zarecor, Wyatt Zarecor, Richard Hicks and Dale Burton.
Mr. Chamberlain was born August 27, 1933, in Obion County, son of the late J.C. and Eula May (Phillips) Chamberlain. He was a retired foreman for the former Highland Feed & Grain in Union City.
He is survived by his former wife, Vernell Davis of Martin; his daughter and son-in-law, Teressa and Mike McDaniel of Union City; his son, Randall J. Chamerlain of Martin; and two sisters, Patty Chamberlain of Cadiz, Kentucky and Bonnie Carney of Dresden.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary McReynolds; and four brothers, Harold Chamberlain, Clyde Chamberlain, Elmer Wayne Chamberlain and Nathan Lawrence.
