Donald Jason "Jay" Alexander, 43, of Union City passed away 12:17 p.m. Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Jay was born January 10, 1980, in Union City, son of Donald and Debra (Kerr) Alexander of Union City.  He married Jimi (Pride) Alexander February 16, 2011.  She survives.  He worked many years for Craddock & Roach Paving and Ford Construction.  He was a member of Walnut Log Baptist Church.

He is also survived by two sons, Chris Alexander of Hornbeak and Jacob Alexander of Troy; two daughters, Codee Alexander of Paris and Phoenix Alexander of Union City; one granddaughter, Josie'lee Smith-Pride; one brother, Michael Alexander (Brandy) of Union City; three sisters, Amber Barr of Clarksville, Shauna Kirsch of Indiana and Terri Kelly (Tata) of Destin, Florida; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and a special friend, Amanda Burton of Union City.
