Ms. Janice Faye Garrett, 68, of Union City passed away 3:38 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Obion County Memorial Gardens. Brother Kenneth Ballinger will officiate.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until time to leave for the cemetery Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Nick Powell, Steven Hopper, Joe Adams, Sam Fussell, Ethan Fussell and Steve Fussell.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, Tennessee 38101-9908.
Ms. Garrett was born May 24, 1946, in Mayfield, Kentucky, daughter of the late Raymond Odell and Lorene (Hawkins) Brown. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Union City.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Lore Michelle and Steven Hopper of Nashville and Stephanie Sue and Kevin Buchanan of Kenton; two sons, Scott Alan Legate of Union City and Christoper Lynn Legate of Nashville; her companion of 14 years, Boe Jay Fussell of Union City and his children, Ethan Fussell and Sam Fussell both of Union City; three step daughters, Cinnamon Wilson of Springville and Michelle Garrett and Ginger Alexander both of Hickman, Kentucky; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Judy and Joe Adams of Mayfield, Kentucky and Sue Taylor of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren, Nick Powell of Nashville, Cailey Legate and Mason Legate both of Cabot, Arkansas and Carsyn Hopper of McKenzie; and several step grandchildren.
