Janette Criswell, 87, of Troy passed away Monday afternoon, March 8, 2021, in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother James Gunter and Rev. Christopher Criswell will officiate. Burial will follow in Old Troy Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Rivers, Gavin Criswell, Chad Marinik, Landon Rivers, Jonathan Richardson and Danny Quinn.

Janette was born November 21, 1933, in Obion, daughter of the late Frederick and Nellie (James) Lyon. She married Dietzel Thrible Criswell March 26, 1949. He preceded her in death June 26, 2015. Janette was a homemaker and attended Protemus Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by two daughers, Trudy Oats (David) of Rogers, Texas and Nancy Rivers (Danny) of Troy; two sons, Jerry Criswell (Millie) of Troy and Danny Criswell (Elin) of Georgetown, Texas; ten grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Royal Stanley Lyon and James Guy Lyon.
