Mrs. Janet Mason Edwards, 99, of Union City passed away 11:59 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2020, at AHC McKenzie.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home.  Brother Eddie Mallonee will officiate.

Janet was born June 4, 1921, in Motherwell, Scotland, daughter of the late Henry and Isabella (Clarkson) McNaught. She married Eddie Stehl in 1947. He preceded her in death in 1980. She then married H.A. Edwards in 1984. He preceded her in death in 2003. Janet had been employed at the former Bay Bee Shoe Company in Dresden, helped her husband farm, was a homemaker and did book work at the former Taylor Tax Service in Union City. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City.

She is survived by one daughter, Judy Newsom (Larry) of McKenzie; one son, James Stehl of Palmersville; five grandchildren, Sandra Dema, Julie Stehl, Tara Hughes, Kristie Mitchell and Teresa Southerland; and four great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, James McNaught and one sister, Isabelle McNaught.
