Mrs. Yvonne (Barnett) Barrons, 82, of Memphis, passed away Monday night, June 11, 2018.

A family graveside service was conducted 1:00 p.m Wednesday in the Hornbeak City Cemetery with Brother Wesley Jackson officiating.

Yvonne was born May 16, 1936 in Memphis to the late Willard and Ella Barnett. Yvonne grew up in Memphis and graduated from Memphis Tech in 1954. She first worked at Memphis Light, Water and Gas, where she was introduced to Jesse Mabry. They married May 15, 1959. They moved several times for work throughout the years landing in Kalamazoo, Michigan;  Yvonne took a clerical position with General Motors in the early 1970's and stayed there until the late 80's.  Yvonne moved back to Memphis in 2007.

As a young woman, she was a member of the Union Avenue Church of Christ in Memphis.  While in Michigan she was a member of East Main Church of Christ where she worked in the deaf ministry for many years.  After moving back to Memphis she joined Quail Ridge Church of Christ in Bartlett.

She is survived by her four children, Jack and wife Sherrie Mabry of Bartlette, Billy and wife DeeDee Mabry ofOakland Tennessee, Joe Mabry of Memphis, and Pam and husband Jim Snyder of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Nine Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren.
