Mrs. Jan Ellen Allison, 49, of the Shawtown Community died 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Bobby Williams and Brother Carey Morris will officiate. Burial will follow in Cobbs Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Marshall Fennell, Brad Woody, Bryan Cranford, Jake Quinn, Ranson Goodman, Rusty Hutcheson, Chance Williams and Kelly Walker.

Honorary pallbearers will be the University of Tennessee Extension Office staff in Obion County.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday.

The family request memorials be made to Hometown Walk of Hope, P.O. Box 482, Union City, TN. 38281.

Jan was born June 13, 1965, in Union City, daughter of James Lawson Pinion of Union City and the late Lauraette (Myers) Pinion. She married Bobby Allison April 20, 1990. He survives. Jan was a member of Willingham Baptist Church near Tiptonville and was employed with the University of Tennessee Extension Office in Union City since 2002. She was a Notary at Large for Obion County and was involved with the Obion County Fair Youth Board and the Junior Livestock Association. Jan was inducted into the Obion County Fair Hall of Fame the day prior to her death.

She is also survived by her daughter, Macy Beth Allison of the Shawtown Community; her twin brother and sister-in-law, James A. and Lori Pinion of South Fulton; her mother-in-law, Nancy Allison of the Shawtown Community; her niece, Emily Morris of South Fulton and her nephew, Cory Pinion of South Fulton.

She was also preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Tanya Allison and her grandparents, Henry and Dora Myers and Burney and Lottie Pinion.
