Obituary

Mr. James Anthony "Jamie" Tubbs, 54, of Tiptonville, died 5:48 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2009, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Wynnburg Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Cobbs Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Tubbs was born August 9, 1955, in Lake County, son of Howard Raymond Tubbs Sr. of Tiptonville and the late Martha (Mealer) Tubbs. He married the former Fannie Parson on March 27, 1978. She survives. He was a Baptist and had been employed as a farmer.

He is also survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Jana Michelle and Todd Kratz of Samburg and Martha Jo Marlow of Martin; one son and daughter-in-law, James Lee and Brandie Tubbs of Ridgely; one brother, Harold Raymond Tubbs Jr. of Tiptonville; one sister, Nancy Joanna Dean of Tiptonville; and ten grandchildren, Shane Kratz, James Kratz, William Agee and Amanda Tubbs all of Samburg, Kimberly Tubbs, Chase Tubbs and Logan Tubbs all of Ridgely, and Jessica Tubbs, Holly Walley and Jonathan Walley all of Martin.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Baggett and one brother, Johnny Tubbs.

The family will receive friends at Wynnburg Baptist Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Shane Kratz, Ricky Parson, Richie Higgins, Josh Mills, Matthew Tubbs and Londell Hillsman.

Honorary pallbearer will be James Kratz.
