Mr. James Lee Woods, 73, of South Fulton passed away 10:43 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Chapel. Deacon Brent Kimbler will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

James was born February 14, 1952, in Albuquerque, New Mexico , son of the late Luther and Annabelle (Irvan) Woods.  He married Maria Irene (Quintanilla) Woods on September 3, 1987.  She survives.  He worked for Lowe's in Union City from 2000-2013 and was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church in Fulton, Kentucky. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, and cooking.  James was a veteran of U.S. Marine Corps and Tennessee National Guard.

He is also survived by his children, Dena Lee (Stan) of Troy, Jay Woods of Paris, Jason Woods (Sam Sambilloza) of South Fulton, Christy Woods of Dresden, Kimberly Moree (Matt) of Slidell, Louisiana and Marcial Arriaga, Jr. (Margaret) of Rives; eighteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret Ward of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Pedro Arriaga; two brothers, Herbert Woods and Clayborn Woods; and one sister, Martha Long.
