Westbrook
August 13, 1937 – December 21, 2021
Rev. James A. Westbrook, 84, of Union City went home to be with the Lord 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at his home.
Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Good Springs Cemetery near Dukedom. Rev. Glenn Watts will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Littleton, David Sturkie, Todd Littleton, Matthew Littleton, Kirk Lowrance and Kyle Slosek.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
There will be no visitation. Anyone who would like to follow in the procession can meet at the funeral home at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Rev. Westbrook was born August 13, 1937, in Dukedom, son of the late Hillman and Louise (Broach) Westbrook. He married Darlene (Haley) Griggs Westbrook January 14, 2000. She survives. James was a 1955 graduate of Dresden High School, a graduate of Bethel University in McKenzie and Memphis Theological Seminary. He had served as pastor of Cumberland Presbyterian Churches in Hurricane Hills, Newbern, Humboldt, Dyer, Jackson, Columbia and Union City where he retired. James was a member of the Union City Rotary Club and was past president of the Cumberland Presbyterian conference.
He is also survived by two daughters, Janice Littleton (Ricky) of Mason Hall and Kim Sturkie (David) of Danville, Virginia; four grandchildren, Todd Littleton (Kristin) of Mason Hall, Emily Lowrance (Kirk) of Kenton, Matthew Littleton (Kelley) of Apopka, Florida and Erica Slosek (Eric) of Austin, Texas; and three great grandchildren, Malone Littleton of Mason Hall and Emmett Lowrance and Hattie Lowrance both of Kenton.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mae (Todd) Westbrook on February 21, 1987 and his second wife, Lynn (Boehler) Westbrook on October 24, 1996.
