Mr. James Franklin Vermillion, 63, of Latham, died 4:25 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2012 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.

Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Mr. Vermillion was born January 19, 1949 in Greenfield, son of the late Milburn Thomas and Alma (Johnson) Vermillion. He was married to the former Nancy Graves. She died in 2005. He worked for the Miller Ham House.

He is survived by one son, Carl Vermillion of Greenfield, Tn.; four brothers; six sisters; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Nikomus Turnbow; one brother and one sister.
