James Lee Stevens, 45, of Martin passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

James was born August 7, 1978 in Hoopeston, Illinois.He married Stephanie (Miller) Stevens November 22, 2000. James had been employed by Canadian National Railroad. He enjoyed working on cars, spending time with his sons and playing the guitar. James was a Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. He loved the Lord and was a member of First Baptist Church in Martin. James was always kind, generous and helpful to others.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Stevens of Martin; two sons, Brock Stevens of Martin and Clayton Stevens of Anchorage, Alaska; his mother and step father, Sue and Mike Downing of Hoopeston, Illinois; and two brothers, George Stevens and wife Teresa of Paxton, Illinois and B.J. Stevens of Hoopeston, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Terry Stevens.
