James Matthew Powers, 57, of Trezevant passed away 2:20 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Obion County Nursing Home.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

James was born July 28, 1961, in Camden, New Jersey, son of the late Wilbur Harold Powers, Sr. and the late Marjorie Jean (Tisdale) Powers. He had been employed as a commercial painter.

He is survived by two brothers, Richard Powers of Trezevant and Joe Powers of Illinois; six sisters, Sarah Nelson (Rick)  and Theresa Powers all of South Fulton, Mary Taylor of Morristown, New Jersey, Carol Tisdale of Houston, Texas, Linda Smith of Florida and Jean Weirman (Art) of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Lorraine Doherty; and one brother, Wilbur Harold Powers, Jr.
